With an undefeated streak thus far, the Saint Stephen’s “Green Team,” made up of mostly upperclassmen and veteran members, has racked up a total of 608 points throughout their participation in each of the county meets at schools such as Southeast and Bayshore.

During a weekend Quiz Bowl tournament (a fast-paced competition) at UCF, the Green Team remained undefeated for all 21 matches, with Sidney Knowles coming in second place for number of points scored, followed by first-year team member Gabby Creneti in fifth place. Additionally, Sidney won first place as the top scorer at Spring Hill, and subsequently, earned the title of top scorer in Manatee County.

Recently, the Saint Stephen’s academic team was also featured as the high school Team of the Week in a newsletter by the National Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT) organization.

Be sure to come to academic team’s Senior Night on Tuesday, December 4, from 6:30-8:30 PM, to cheer them on in their final competition of the season. Saint Stephen’s alum and Jeopardy participant, Hannah Sage, will be reading questions throughout the match.
