Academic Green Team wins top spot in county

After a tough CAC competition against all other county schools this past Tuesday, the Saint Stephen’s academic “Green Team” earned a place as the top scoring team in Manatee County. With a grand total of 608 points, they narrowly beat the Southeast “Orange Team” by a mere two points, followed by the Braden River “Black Team” in third.

Out of the top six scorers who were eligible to go to the state competition, two of them were from the Saint Stephen’s team, namely junior Kassandra Haakman and senior Sidney Knowles.

Several SSES faculty and students came to cheer the teams on during each match, and six Upper School teachers, including Mr. Moore, Señor Wolcott, Mrs. Paleczny, Mrs. Bolotin, and Ms. Wildes were the question judges for the night.
