Monday’s theme: Pre-Historic

The first day of Saint Stephens’ annual Homecoming Week started with a bang yesterday, as the four classes competed in a vicious game of Ships of Sailors. The competition was intense, as all participants were trying desperately to gain more points for their class.

However, in the end, the Seniors won in a landslide victory. All four participating seniors were still standing when all of the other classes were eliminated. The final placement went as follows: Seniors, Sophomore, Freshman, Juniors.

The other creative aspect of Homecoming Week is the different-themed days, which allow students to dress up in accordance to the year’s theme “Through the Ages.”  Yesterday’s era was “Pre-Historic.” Students wore costumes ranging from inflatable dinosaurs to Flintstones characters. The Junior class took home with the points for the costumes, as they had the most people in period attire.

After the first day of Homecoming week, the point totals look like this:

  1. Seniors: 35
  2. Juniors: 23
  3. Freshman: 23
  4. Sophomores: 18
