Performing Arts Center coming soon: It’s official!

A Gauntlet article from last year, based on a conversation with Dr. Pullen, explained Saint Stephen’s plans to build a new performing arts center. Now, less than a year and a half since the school first made an agreement with Christ Church for the land needed to build it, the project is well underway. Just last week, the city of Bradenton decided to annex certain areas of church property into the city and issued the special land use permit needed to build the new center.

The school has also begun planning construction of the building and has chosen Hall Architects and Wills Smith Construction for the project. These new developments have brought the plans for a new performing arts center closer to reality. However, in order to transform plans into a physical building, the school is going to need to raise money. It most likely won’t be too long before students, teachers, and parents begin to see the signs of the upcoming fundraiser campaign.

Hopefully, in this way, the school will raise enough money to afford the amazing facilities they plan to build. In the words of Mr. McDaniel, “With your help, the time is coming when our students will have a theater environment worthy of their excellent work.”
