Brown Bag lunch Wednesday is huge hit; over 25 attend
March 8, 2018
On Wednesday, March 7, there was an engaging brown bag lunch, featuring alumna Elizabeth Djinis, who graduated in 2012.
Djinis is a feature writer for the Sarasota Herald Tribune, and she shared her high school, college, and career experiences with a large group of Falcons during lunchtime yesterday.
The lunch was led by Mrs. McFeeley, the Alumni Director, and the meal featured a wonderful Q&A session with about 25 attendees.
Djinis attended Duke University and majored in classics, classical language, linguistics & literature. A large group of the attendees were interested in this aspect of her discussion.
Elizabeth’s primary discussion, however, centered on journalism. She is a journalist & reporter for the Herald Tribune in Sarasota, covering a variety of features, breaking news, and local government happenings. She shared some tips of the trade with Falcon writers and journalists.
Brown Bag lunches are a thing now, with new visitors coming each month or so; don’t miss the next one!
