Gallery of the Day: Prom 2018 photos and recap
April 23, 2018
This year’s Prom was a huge success. Reviews from many students in classes on Monday illustrated that this was one of the best Proms in recent years.
Prom 2018 was planned and funded by the junior class and was held at Pier 22 from 7-11 PM on Saturday.
As students arrived, they were welcomed at tables with sushi and other appetizers, including coconut friend shrimp and mini-sliders. Then, each student got the chance to pick from a selection of dishes at the dinner buffet. This was a big crowd-pleaser.
In terms of dinner, starting with a choice between a ceasar or a house salad and dinner rolls, the line of options included mac and cheese, cilantro-lime chicken, vegetable pasta, roasted herb potatoes, and steak.
As the dinner came to an end, dessert was served, consisting of crème brûlée, cheesecake bites and chocolate truffles.
The dancing started just as dessert finished. Along with dancing, there was a photo booth with fun props. Each student was given a photo strip from the photo booth in hopes of these pictures lasting a lifetime.
As the night came to an end, students left with full stomachs, new dance moves and a night to remember! Prom 2018 was a hit!
