Happening now: The STEaM Show is awesome and on display in the Intermediate School
April 25, 2018
Saint Stephen’s 2017-2018 STEaM Show is located in the Intermediate School Commons. The show, which features projects and assignments connected to science, tech, engineering, art, and math, contains entries from all grade levels. The items on display range from Pre-K telescopes to robots created by the high school engineering class.
The acronym STEaM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. There are student projects on display for each of these categories. With all of these subjects encompassed in the STEaM Show, there are table upon tables worth of fascinating student creations waiting to be viewed by the public.
The STEaM show is also a great way to learn some more about subjects. The variety of projects can be very useful and factual, with most projects being labeled and describing their purpose in a short summary.
Mr. Parton, the coordinator of the steam show, said, “One way the STEaM Show has evolved is in the way it includes technology that is available to support student learning in academic classes as well as electives. We have Robotics kits, Lil bits, iPads, PiperKits and 3-D Printers as parts of the show.”
The STEaM Show opened this Monday, April 23. All students should go check out the display down at the Intermediate School soon before the show ends.

I love that the Gauntlet is including news from other divisions. Maybe you can report on the Tropicana Speech Contest.
