Tuesday’s volleyball game against Braden River Pirates marked another victory for the Falcon’s varsity volleyball team.
Pleased with the win, varsity volleyball Coach Shameka Walker said, “[The players] did what ever it took the entire time.”
Falcon’s blocker senior Tori Biach successfully executed several fake-out spikes, which helped the Falcons win the second match, while team captain senior Melissa Johnson went on a serving spree during the same match, serving twenty consecutive points in a row.
The net blockers did their job denying many spikes from the Pirates, and throughout the game the Falcons led by several points; the Pirates did not take more than a three-point lead the entire game.
The Falcons won three matches straight, the third match score ending 25-13.
Walker said the team play was unbelievable. “They were very aggressive, and they just wanted to win really badly. [The team showed] strong defense, strong serving, [and] it all just worked together,” she said.
“Even though they had a slow start, they did not give up. They just kept pressing forward by coming together as a team,” she said.
