November 13, 2017
For the first installment of Athlete of the Week, we look at Saint Stephen’s star running back and recent Western Michigan commit, Chase Brown.
The 5’11, 190 pound running back took Saint Stephens by storm along with his twin brother Sydney last year, giving the Falcons the extra boost they needed to win the Sunshine State Athletic Conference Championship.
This year alone Chase has run for 1238 yards in 9 games, 22 rushing touchdowns, averages 19 yards per carry on the season, and has collected 8 offensive player of the game honors.
Throughout the year, Chase collected 12 Division 1 scholarship offers from programs such as Wake Forest, University of Central Florida, Syracuse, and more. However Chase recently committed to  Western Michigan, a school closer to his family in Canada.
Chase is revealed by his teamates for being somewhat a “silent assassin.” He won’t be the guy that yells in your face, he will lead by example
The Falcons play again Saturday in the SSAC semifinals against Jupiter Christian, where they look to keep their perfect season, and Chase looks to add to his impressive stat sheet this year.
