Girls golf team headed to states

After their victory at Laurel Oaks for the Regional Championship, the Falcons’ varsity girls golf team is headed to the state match at Mission Inn Resort next Tuesday, October 30th.

This past Monday, on October 22nd, the varsity girls golf team won first place at the regional match at Laurel Oaks.

The lady golfers beat out teams such as Bishop Verot and school rival Out-of-Door Academy.

Senior Captain Catherine Huang led the way and shot a 73 in the regional match. Other senior captain Kendall Miller shot an 85 to help lead the Falcons to a fifth straight regional championship.

Maria Huang shot a 76, Angel Dai shot a 87, and Bella O’Donnell shot a 94 which all contributed to a victory at Laurel Oaks.

An overall regional victory of 14 strokes led the Falcons to the championship victory and propelled them to the state match.
