At the second-annual Girls for Girls Summit on September 23, which took place at the Manatee Technical College, 6th grader Aubrey Dunbar promotes self-confidence by wearing stickers with inspirational statements. Girls for Girls is an event that was founded, funded, and organized by six SSES upper school girls: Zoey Block, Katie Pierce, Baylee Barker, Merry Moore, Ashleigh Rodhouse, and Kendall Miller. The purpose of the event is to promote self-confidence, friendship, and leadership for girls in the Manatee area, ages nine through twelve.
