Photo of the Day: Famed Cum Laude Society inducts 7 members

This morning, the Upper School gathered for chapel to induct seven new senior members to the Cum Laude Society. The Cum Laude Society is Saint Stephen’s highest honor for students. It is highly competitive academic society, modeled after the reknowned Phi Beta Kappa academic fraternity at universities.
For students to earn entry, they must achieve high standards both in character and academics. Only 20% of any given class may be inducted.
According to the official Cum laude Society website, the group is “An association of 382 chapters, approximately two dozen of which are located in public schools and the rest in independent schools in the United States, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Canada, England, France and Spain. Some 4,000 new student members are inducted annually.”
Today’s inductees: Matthew Willard, Charlie Price, Lily Meaker, Jessica Roberts, Jack Berry, Shannon Mallard, Eliska Patockova.
Current Members are Henry Howell, Hayes Chatham, Meredith Pratt, Emma Lexhed, Luke Valadie, Gabby Pung, Sarah Glaser.
