Caitie Pacer
Senior Caitie Pacer is a member of the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team here at Saint Stephen’s. She has been attending Saint Stephen’s for two years, and has quickly grown to “fall in love with the community here, especially on our sports teams.”
Over the summer, Pacer had the experience of a lifetime: playing lacrosse abroad. She played lacrosse in Portugal for two weeks, for SAWUSA (Student Athlete World USA) in the Lisboa Lacrosse Cup. After the tournament, she was able to travel around Spain and Morocco with her family.
When asked about her experience playing lacrosse abroad, Pacer said the best part was, “meeting different people from different areas. I became really close with a girl from Belgium,” who she sees herself keeping in touch with.
Being on a team with girls from all across the country was a rewarding experience because she was able to play with “girls with different skill levels and lacrosse knowledge, especially because everyone was from different parts of the country. Lacrosse is really popular in places like Florida and Maryland, but we even had a girl on our team from Montana.” One of her favorite memories from the trip was, “jamming out to ‘We are the Champions’ on the bus” after a big win.
